Once upon a time there was a cow named Shan, and she lived on the farm and had lots of fun in the hay. She loved playing with the other animals, and sometimes she even liked pretending to be other animals. She liked pretending to be herself, and she liked pretending to be a pig, so sometimes when the farmer named Ben put by accident mud in her pen she rolled in it! And when the farmer got everything wrong, she played around in it. Then he made a sign showing what to do with each pen so he would not give the wrong animal the wrong thing. So it started to be just the cow! So what is that relief! So once a day Shan got along, and she didn't know this, but her friend the chicken had just had babies. It was a miracle! And they lived happily ever after. The end.

Mamma's note: This has been edited to help with tracking pronouns, and to clarify what the farmer did so he wouldn't give the wrong animal the wrong thing. Nonny explained that he "signed up" each pen - logical, but we decided it would be easier to explain if he made a sign.

Once upon a time there were some horses, and then one day the little one got lost. And her mom went out looking to find her, but she didn't find her, so she ran out looking at the farm. So she found her at the farm! And she ran away at night with her baby and ran back to the circus. And the baby forgot her toy, and she said, "I forgot my bear toy," and the mommy went down to find it and it was inside the barn where a human was, so she had to stay out of the barn until the farmer left. She had to go inside the barn and hide, and get the baby toy. And then she took it back and they slept with it, and they lived happily ever after.
